Reading Time: < 1 minute

A nobody who had never felt
The warmth of a palm
Against My skin
The rush of blood
Of another’s veins
But she touched me

Me who had been
Left to the shadows of the corner
Like a wall flower peering from the darkness
Only lit once by a empathic ray
She touched me

She raised the hairs
On the back of my neck
They were shy
And shook in trepidation
I snuggled closer
She touched me
